Lunenburg watercolor artist Gail Patriarche, (nee Farmer) was born and raised in Ottawa Canada. She spent her adult years in Ottawa and Whitby, Ontario prior to her move to Lunenburg, Nova Scotia.

She has been sketching and painting from the age of 9 years, so art came very easy to her, and thus provided the desire to become a professional artist.

She had a strong belief in herself and together with encouragement from family and teachers, she moved ahead as a career artist. In order to make a living and continue with ‘Fine Art’ she started working for a company in Toronto as a Commercial Artist and remained in that field for 15 years.

Her Fine Art Original Watercolours have a soft but strong detailed realistic look, and flair for colour and depth. She paints on most any subject, maritime seascapes, boats, landscapes, wildlife, children at play and interesting architecture.

She has a large following, and has sold extensively over the years to clients across Canada, the USA, England and Spain.
The Gail Patriarche Gallery overlooking the ocean and harbour is located in the unique World Heritage Town of Lunenburg, about 100 kms. south of the city of Halifax on Nova Scotia’s South Shore and has been a working Studio and Gallery for 27 years. She displays only her own art, consisting of Originals, and Signed and Numbered Reproductions. She will consider Commissions on almost any subject.
